More the number of friends, more the time needed to see their updates and respond. Sometimes, one feels it is a waste of time.
So better avoid unknown, half-known and the

Internet users with Facebook, Whatsapp, Emails and what not, very well know the (usefulness and) uselessness of the continuous connectivity and still can not stop the wastage of time in this activity. Just like the addicts of alcohol, smoking and tobacco chewing...
Facebook activeness demands offering/sharing your views and getting the responses from your FB friends.
If you do not share anything, all you are left with is responding your friends views.
Expectations from "Facebook Friends":
- Do share your thought-cycles, emotions and events... friends expect that!
- Do respond to the post you see on your home page by comments and whatever you feel like... That is a must for any friendship!
- Do send your greetings on birthdays, wedding anniversary and other important events... If you do not feel like posting to someone, he/she is not your friend, better delete that name.
- Do not share too many quotes, songs or articles; they make the home-page filled with such materials, and important messages get hidden... think over this, it is important.
- If someone else has opened your Facebook account for you and you are never operating it, better ask the same fellow to delete the account. Your friends may not know about your passivity!

When one writes post/comment to express one's views on Facebook, one is addressing a big number of audience - friends, colleagues and others. So it is prudent to be careful about spelling, grammar and punctuations or it will look insulting your friends. It will show as if you are attending party without proper make-up!
Facebook users grading, in my opinion:
- Expresses one's views on different subjects and responds to friends with comments.
- Only gives comments to Facebook material by friends.
- Only clicks like button when likes, but does not tell one's views
- Opens Facebook and reads, but then silent.
- Never sees Facebook, someone/oneself has started FB account, that's all!
I see my friends on Facebook active, even hyperactive, for sometime and then inactive or say silent for a long gap to appear again. Is it a mood variation from euphoria to depression that is the cause or other engagements elsewhere? What do you think is the reason?
Privacy and Security Advisers tell, follow this while being on social networking (Facebook, Twitter, etc.):
- Avoid putting photos showing details of home
- Don't give your travel/tour programme in details
- Don't disclose your whereabouts
- Avoid giving contact details like address, mobile and E-mail
Parents and Children on Facebook:
If all the concerned are transparent and so open to have any dialogue, if each can talk freely without fear or hesitation, 'friendship on Facebook' is not a problem.
Well, all have to be frank and open is a pre-condition or better be away from here, as otherwise also they are!
