Feelings And Emotions On My 62nd Birthday

As we know, a birthday comes once every year. We are not talking here about many birthdays a year for some secret reasons. And it is a story of the past when nobody was aware or cautious about remembering, greeting or celebrating the birthday and the said day was passing unnoticed just like any other day.

Greetings and celebrations are must nowadays for many causes like birth, marriage, inaugurations and getting some award, appreciation success. And so birthday celebrations are a must. I want to talk about ways and time of birthday greetings and emotions that followed.

The birthday celebration is a special topic and I am avoiding that to concentrate on my emotions and feelings after receiving greetings on my 62nd birthday. I received greetings in all forms - personally, cards, phone calls, mobile and internet. I will not tell this and that number for any of the above and directly go to the subject.
  1. I do like greetings from anybody and everybody. Naturally more the number, the better. With increasing age, more relations exist and as per the present day fashion, the number is bound to be high. Well, it satisfies my ego and makes me feel worth living ahead. So I would love to greet someone, on birthday even for formality sake and just to make him/her feel good.
  2. Mobile and Phone Calls: I am happy the callers on the phone were full of a sense of responsibility, warmth and enthusiasm of wishing me HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Instead of talking about a single sentence and stopping the conversation, ideally, a dialogue of reasonable length and many did so. Dry- Formal- Compulsory- without heart greetings on phone can disturb me and make me unhappy. Better one should opt to avoid calling in such an irritating way. When someone calls me, I understand he cares for me, knows my birthday and thinks I am an important person to be greeted at least by phone.
  3. Facebook Friends and Mobile Messages: Most of the regular Facebook user friends, wrote a message on my page about the birthday. One addressing my relation with them like Masaji, Mama, Pappa, Fuvaji and brothers appeals me more than simple words of Happy Birthday. Nevertheless, greeting someone is always better than not greeting at all.
  4. No doubt, writing a personalized message with the card, sort of flower, at a length, cake photos, message or writing in a poetic way on Facebook does have a more impressive effect. The messages were flowing so big in number; I was feeling emotional about them and finding the Facebook friendship worth continuing. Whatever others may feel. It is making me astonished seeing the magic of connectivity all over the world.
Birthday denotes the increase in the age and comes once every year. In past few years, it is noticed, greeted and celebrated. Anybody - as I do - would love to be greeted. The ideal would be to have emotions filled with words and voice while communicating greetings. Nearly all were having so many emotions of love and respect. Shall I start waiting for my next birthday?

  1. as the age advances many see us as worthless and even close friends once, finds excuses. best way is to see like moving train as somebody sees standing on platform. imagine the plight of those who were once super celebrity like rajesh khanna.we are very small . so let it be god's wish.

    1. Thanks for comment. You rightly said with advancing age "one must learn to live oneself".
