We Are Alive To Live Only

While writing a book review on novel one has to be cautious in not telling the details, so that reader still needs to read the actual novel, on the same time they should find the basic details of the story in the review. Yes, I will do that.

We Are Alive To Live Only is a story revolving around three young people in their twenties, namely Suhana from Kolkatta, Raahi from Surat and Joy from New Delhi. They meet and a novel is created in Mumbai. You have to read the novel to know how they become friends and how around ten years pass.

Now, before I proceed let me introduce the author. I will only tell her name - Shreya Kataria. Rest of the details of her age, education and intelligence has to be seen in the philosophy she expresses in the novel she has written. I have met her, I have heard her and to be the briefest, I am impressed by her knowledge and the way she exhibits. This much should suffice for now.

I have read books on religions and history in addition to my subject ophthalmology and my caste - Anavil. I regularly read newspapers and magazines but I had not read any novel (fiction) in a while. After a long gap of time, I have read the novel and I am happy. People say you can not stop reading the novel once you start. True, it is proved here. You keep getting curious to read the development of the story and what happens every moment. You want to understand and find out the fate at the end.

We’re Alive To Live Only is a story by an author having uninhibited emotions and modern freestyle life activities. These three people behave as they want to, without being bothered about society or its established so-called norms. Till we continue reading, we live ourselves with Suhana, Rakhi and Joy – may be becoming one of them.

I am tempted to quote a few lines Shreya writes while telling us the story:
I kicked them out of my life who tried to suffocate me.
Universe choose you to be my father and you did not choose me.
The outer beauty has been criticized a lot, but it is healthy, it makes oneself happy. And that is what we need on the earth to be happy.
You are not a drop in the ocean. You are an entire ocean in one drop.
Names having happiness in their meaning Geigel, Buoyant, Hope, Blithe, Resilient, Bright and Halcyon.
I am not in love.
I don’t want to be in love.
I want to be love.
I want humans to live.
Live their passion, anger, dreams, anxieties, desires and dangers.
Because they are forgetting “We are Alive to Live Only”.
You are not a toy.
You are not here for someone to play and then being put aside.
No one cries for fun.
People who read only can define why it is not reading but actually living.
Life has always been a reckless and unstable thing for me but it has the capacity to make me happy at the end of the day.
The masculine majority have one thing that they all need a woman and nothing else.
Be grateful for whatever comes because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.
She could feel that this person is really considering your value with his hugs, no flirt or any other intention power respect.
Time will heal everything, they say. But when I really miss him, nothing comes up as healing.
She teaches us two more words while the story progresses.

  • SONDER: Sonder means the realisation that everyone around us has the same tragedies, memories, anxiety and love. Everyone has a life as complex as one’s own, which they are constantly living and still everyone has something different.
  • IKIGAI: A Japanese word Iki means life and Gai means the realisation of expectation. Ikigai describes purpose/meaning/ reason for living. Everyone has one’s own Ikigai. They have to find it out from deep down of one’s soul. It is like what you have to, for passion. Happy stage of being busy for the lifetime for passion.

Now that you know how interesting, romantic as well as modernized this novel is, reading is a must. I assume you will feel the emotions, love and hatred altogether. Why not buy one “We’re Alive to Live Only” from a distributor that suits you – Blue Rose, Amazon, Flipkart or ShopClues? A jewel at an imaginable low price, rush, pleasure and learning is certain.

Best wishes to the author and future readers!

Anavils - An Endangered Community

After Parsis, Anavils ( Anavil Brahmins , āŠ…āŠĻાāŠĩિāŠē āŠŽ્āŠ°ાāŠđ્āŠŪāŠĢ ) are the fastest decreasing community. The total population of Anavils around the world does not exceed two lakhs figure and that is also fast reducing day by day. Days are not far, beyond a century or so, when they will have to be seen/found in records, photos, and videos. Why? Because,    - they get married too late,    - many are dying unmarried,    - they wait for the career to be settled before the first (and maybe the only) childbirth. So,    The number of children per couple is either one or zero.    It is certain that nothing can save this community from extinction - vanishing! Let me try to introduce this community. Mr. Klass W VanDer Veen - a Dutch scholar and Professor at Amsterdam University prepared a thesis on "Anavils" and wrote a book "I Give Thee My Daughter ". He concluded, "Anavils are smart, efficient, and clever but heavily disunited....

History Of Muslims In India: Hindu-Muslim Relations

With this article, I would like to tell you about three things: (1) the History of Islam and Muslims in India; then I will try to elaborate, specifically telling (2) What went wrong; and finally, I will conclude by telling (3) The future of relations amongst Muslims and Hindus. Although it is routine to give references, in the end, I shall start with the list of three reference books in the beginning. All these details are not mine, I’ve only summarized them from these books. 1. "Miyan Ne Mahadev No Mel Padshe J Padshe” (Gujarati - “āŠŪિāŠŊાં āŠĻે āŠŪāŠđાāŠĶેāŠĩ āŠĻો āŠŪેāŠģ āŠŠāŠĄāŠķે āŠœ āŠŠāŠĄāŠķે”) by Kanti Shah. Published by Yaagna Prakasan Samiti, Hujaratpaga, Vadodara. A Gujarati book. Title meaning “Muslims and Hindus will certainly unite…”. Karmic Theory (Law Of Karma)

“Facing Challenges and Creating Destiny” by BK Shivani, Gurgaon National Conference on Mind-Body-Medicine, Mount Abu. August 6-10, 2010 What is Karma? Karma is work or energy going out in the form of 1. Thought, 2. Word and/or 3. Action. Resultant return of energy is in the same amount known as Bhagya (Destiny). The role of God is to ask you to do Karma and to help you to do the RIGHT karma. Then whatever good/bad karma you do, the result is accordingly and entirely your responsibility. Because the result is Destiny (Bhagya). So don’t blame anyone else or God for anything bad. Do not try to blame someone responsible for your own deed and its result. Be aware and create/decide your own destiny (Bhagya). Actually, the role of God is to: Give us the strength to handle the problem/situation Accompany us in solving the issue Guide Love unconditionally Give proper knowledge and Pour power to face the situation So pause a little before doing something wrong, think it will ...

Long Vacation At Bengaluru

After voluntary retirement as Government Medical Officer, my wife Dr Bhavana (Devyani) wanted to have a vacation and I joined her. The long break of 14 days (2 weeks) was starting on date 9th March 2011 and ending on 23rd March 2011. We planned to stay at Rahul’s (our son) residence at Bangalore and return to Bilimora. Vacation - is stopping the continuous job/work and retire at some place at leisure. We know vacation is a change of activity and we did that. It is a recess, say a break or temporary cessation of routine work. Is vacation necessary ?

Dawood Ibrahim - A Journey From Dongri To Karachi, Via Dubai

One of the recent off-bit topics I’ve read, this one book about ‘Mumbai Mafia’ has been the most interesting, well-researched and well-written. Here is an excerpt from Dawood Ibrahim's journey from “Dongri to Dubai”, and the six decades of Mumbai mafia.
